I love eating here! Every time we are anywhere near, I scream and cry to come to the Variable. The Thai dishes are top drawer, but since I am a dedicated soul food fan, and I did not trade my soul food to become vegan, anything with BBQ sauce or a similar flavor is my first choice! Variable does not disappoint! The Sunset Strip Burger, coming with caramelized onions, diced jalapeno and smoked, spicy house sauce, is wonderfully messy and satisfies you down to your soul.

Another great sandwich is You and Banh Me Sandwich – soy chicken, pickled vegetables, sweet chili sauce, on French bread. Try it with Truffle Fries! Rich and satisfying.

The PHO is huge and the best I have ever had; the Kurt Brussel appetizer of baked Brussel sprouts topped with vegan parm cheese or West Coast Shrimp are a wonderful addition to your metabolism, too.

The Variable is owned by a husband and wife team who serve you with skill, good cheer and promptness. The ambience is clean and comfortable, with large glass windows overlooking Washington Blvd. Stop in when you have time to relax and eat much!
